Liam has grown up skiing and can barely remember the days when he first stepped on skis at 3 years old. He has been skiing in the Val d’Isere, Tignes area since he was a child and never wanted to leave so has returned to live in Val d’Isere.

He graduated in Sports, Exercise and Health Science from Northumbria University, where he studied athlete’s biomechanics, physiology and psychology. He takes this knowledge into his methods of teaching to give you are an environment that you will benefit from during your lessons. Liam has taught a huge variety of different sports, which gives him a lot of knowledge of how to coach you and solve any problems you may have.

As he loves the mountains some much that when he is not working on the hill with you, you will find him skiing off piste or enjoying the pistes or just enjoying a meal in the mountains of Val d’Isere and Tignes.

Liam enjoys keep fit in the summer months by challenging himself to endurance sports like triathlon, swim run or cycling events. When he is not keeping fit you will find him at work where he will be building Sail Tents for big events, like weddings and birthday parties with the Sail Tent Company. Liam loves the outdoors and the passion is shown through when you ski with him.

Chris John

Chris started skiing with his family from a young age, he rapidly progressed to racing and representing the British children’s team. Progressing to the F.I.S. International racing for team GB, this is when Chris moved to Val d'Isère to begin training and racing with the Club de Sport.

Retiring from racing in 2008 and returning to the UK for the following winter, Chris realised that the mountains were where he wanted to be; helping others to love the sport he is so passionate about.

Having lived and worked in Val d'Isère for 10 years, Chris has gained great knowledge of the skiable area of Val d'Isère and Tignes. With all of his experience of the ski area he will be able to guide you to the best spots for your level of skiing.

In summer months Chris returns to the UK where he coaches a Sandown race team. When he is not on skis you will find him cycling, playing on the rugby field, surfing, rock climbing, boxing, basically anything to get his heart racing.
Chris is the type of guy who likes to keeps the spirits high and the atmosphere light hearted, which is the best environment for him to pass on his depth of knowledge to you.
